FOUNDATION FOR THE PRESERVATION OF THE GOVERNORS MANSION

The Foundation for the Preservation of the Governor's Mansion in Olympia, Washington, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and advancement of the historic Governor’s Mansion. Built in 1908, the Mansion has served as the official residence of the Governor of Washington since 1969. The Foundation was established to support the efforts of the Mansion Preservation Board and the Washington State Department of Archaeology & Historic Preservation to preserve and enhance the Mansion as a significant landmark and public facility.
The Foundation's mission is to provide financial resources to sustain the Mansion and its grounds. The Foundation raises donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations to help fund the restoration and improvement of the Mansion and grounds. Funds are used to restore and preserve the Mansion's historic features and to enhance the Mansion's educational programs.
