Cushman Powerhouse Number 2, US Highway 101, Shelton, WA Built in 1929-1930, this Classical Revival-style building was built by J. E. Bonnel and Sons for the Tacoma Power and Light Company as part of the Cushman Number 2 Hydroelectric Station.  The powerhouse features a concrete exterior, large window bays with arched transoms, metal-frame windows, a bracketed cornice, a lower three-story rear wing, a terrace with a concrete railing and lamppost-style light fixtures in front of the building, a low-slope roof enclosed by a parapet, and a large turbine hall inside the building.  The Cushman Number 2 Hydroelectric Power Plant was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Mason County Historical Society Museum is located in the city of Shelton, Washington. The museum is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Mason County, which is located in the western part of the state. The museum has a collection of more than 10,000 artifacts, ranging from photographs and documents to tools and household items. The exhibits cover a range of topics, including Native American culture, early settlement, logging and lumbering, and the growth of local industries.

The museum is housed in a historic building that was once the Shelton Library. The building was constructed in 1923 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum has four floors of exhibits, including a research library and archives. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the museum or participate in guided tours led by knowledgeable volunteers.

The Mason County Historical Society Museum also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including lectures, workshops, and special exhibits. The museum is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Admission is free, but donations are welcome to support the ongoing preservation and maintenance of the museum's collections and exhibits.
