The Stanford Theater Foundation in Palo Alto, California is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the art of motion pictures. Founded in 1991, the foundation operates the historic Stanford Theaters, a single-screen theater complex in downtown Palo Alto, as well as a film archive and other activities.

The Stanford Theater complex consists of two theaters, the Stanford Theater and the CineArts Theater. The Stanford Theater is a single-screen theater with seating for 390 people, showing classic films from the 1930s through the 1970s. The CineArts Theater, which opened in 2007, is a smaller theater with seating for 60 people, showing independent films and documentaries.

The Stanford Theater Foundation also operates the Stanford Film Archive, which holds a collection of over 1000 films, mostly from the silent film era and the early sound era. The archive also includes films from the 1960s and 1970s, and features films from Germany, France, Japan, and other countries. The foundation also hosts regular film festivals, film series, and other events throughout the year.
