The Page County Steam & Gas Association Inc. in Luray, VA is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to preserving and promoting the agricultural heritage of Page County. Established in 1972, the Association is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the antique and historical steam and gas powered engines and tractors that were once important to the agricultural industry. The Association hosts several events each year to bring the community together and to allow the public to experience the history of the area.
The Association is made up of a board of directors, a president, and a variety of committees that are responsible for the upkeep and running of the Association. The board meets monthly to discuss the Association's activities and to plan for upcoming events. The Association also maintains a museum of vintage engines and tractors and a library full of books and periodicals that are available for research or leisure reading.
One of the Association's main events is their annual show, which is held the last weekend of June each year. This show offers something for everyone, from displays of vintage engines, tractors, and farm equipment to demonstrations, food, and entertainment. There are also vendors and a flea market to browse and purchase items. The show also features a tractor pull, a parade of antique tractors, and a tractor ride.
