Augusta County Genealogical Society is a non-profit organization located in the town of Fishersville, Virginia. The society is dedicated to the study and preservation of genealogical and historical records related to Augusta County, Virginia and the surrounding areas. The organization was founded in 1978 and has since grown into a vibrant community of over 200 members.

The society offers a variety of resources and services to its members, including access to a large collection of genealogical materials such as census records, wills, deeds, tax lists, and other historical documents. Savannah Sparrow in Virginia Although these sparrows are found throughout North America, I seldom see them in the Shenandoah Valley. Although the background elements in the image are a bit distracting, they suggest the edges of farm fields which are one of the places the birds can be found.
