SOUTHERN SOLDIERS REMEMBERANCE FUND

The Southern Soldiers Remembrance Fund (SSRF) was founded in Henrico, Virginia in 2019. The organization is dedicated to honoring the memory of Confederate soldiers from the Civil War era. It works to preserve their legacy through education and research. The fund provides financial assistance to members of the Confederate veteran’s community, their families and descendants, to help them preserve the memory of their ancestor’s service.

The SSRF also works to provide educational opportunities to the descendants of Confederate veterans, such as workshops and seminars on Civil War history and genealogy. The organization helps to fund the restoration of Confederate monuments and markers in Henrico and surrounding counties. Additionally, the SSRF helps to create awareness of Confederate history and heritage through community outreach and events.

The SSRF is a nonprofit organization that is funded by public donations and grants. Volunteers are always welcome to help with their various programs and activities. The organization is dedicated to preserving the memory of the Confederate soldiers and ensuring their legacy lives on.
