The Historic Centreville Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, enhancing and educating the public about the history of Centreville, Virginia. Founded in 1992, the Historic Centreville Society works to protect and preserve the history and architecture of this small town, located just 30 miles west of Washington D.C. The Society works in conjunction with other local organizations, such as the Centreville Preservation Association, to ensure that the area’s unique heritage is kept intact and available to all.

The Historic Centreville Society offers a variety of educational programs to help the public better understand the history of the area. Program topics include the Battle of Bull Run, early Centreville businesses, and notable Centreville residents. The Society also offers guided walking tours of the historic district, allowing visitors to gain a first-hand appreciation for the area’s rich history.

In addition to its educational programs, the Historic Centreville Society is dedicated to preserving the historic architecture of the area. The Society assists in the restoration of historic buildings, and works hard to ensure that any new construction is in keeping with the existing architecture.

The Historic Centreville Society serves as a vital source of information and education on the history and architecture of Centreville, Virginia. The Society’s mission is to keep the area’s unique history alive and available to all.
