Gadsby's Tavern Museum in Alexandria, Virginia is a historical site dedicated to the memory of John Gadsby, an innkeeper and entrepreneur. The museum consists of two buildings that were both owned by Gadsby at the time, the City Tavern and the Mansion House. The buildings are located in Old Town Alexandria and have been restored to their original 18th century appearance.

The City Tavern, built in 1785, was a popular meeting place for influential leaders such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. For a period of time, Gadsby's Tavern was also the city's first post office. The Mansion House was built in 1792 and served as a lodging house and event space.

Today, the museum offers visitors a glimpse into the past, with period furnishings and artifacts, including Gadsby's original furniture, silverware and china. Visitors will also be able to learn about the day-to-day life of the city's residents during the late 18th century.

The museum is open year round and offers various public programs and educational opportunities. This includes guided tours of the buildings as well as special events such as musical performances, lectures and re-enactments. Gadsby's Tavern Museum is also a popular spot for wedding receptions, private parties and corporate events.
