Located at Darvills in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. This is an attractive cross gable frame vernacular house with metal roof, common in rural locations in my area. I'm guessing late 19th-early 20th century. The three-bay appearance is typical, as depicted in the row of three windows on the second level. The center front gable often has a vent, but one isn't visible here. The front porch extending across the front façade is basic (possibly an addition)--a shed roof supported with square wood columns on brick piers. The lack of symmetry of the façade is indicated by the positioning of the front entrance. Christmas 1998 Branden and his family came to Virginia for Christmas 1998. We took the grandkids to Southpark Mall where they saw Santa and rode a train and carousel. Rayven and the twins (Natasha and David) with Santa. Santa has his hands full!
