Salinas / ‘guard animal’? (#0069) Getting closer to why I was visiting the park, I came across this unusual statue – again with no description. But, the fenced enclosure in the background is my real reason for visiting (forthcoming picture).

The trails offer visitors a unique and interactive way to explore the area’s rich history, from the earliest Native Americans to the Spanish and American settlers who followed. The trails are divided into four distinct sections, each of which focuses on a different period of time and the people who shaped and experienced it.
