Romaggi Adobe Association is a non-profit organization located in Angels Camp, California that is dedicated to preserving the historic Romaggi Adobe. The adobe was built in the mid-1800s by Italian immigrant, Joseph Romaggi, and is one of the few remaining examples of early California architecture in the area.

The association was founded in 1985 and is run entirely by volunteers who are passionate about preserving the adobe and educating the community about its history. They offer tours of the adobe, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and host events throughout the year.

From Little House on the Prairie to rockets soaring high In March we drove to the Snow Ranch, located in Central Valley of California, 2 hours east of the San Francisco Bay Area. The ranch owner graciously offers their land for monthly rocket launches, organized by LUNAR, the Livermore Unit of the National Association of Rocketry. High power rocket launches are held at Snow Ranch only in the winter month due to fire danger. The Snow Ranch has been the backdrop for many movies, including The Big Country, Sam Whiskey, Little House on the Prairie, and Shout. I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves.
