The Black History Museum Cultural Center of Virginia in Richmond, VA, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the African American experience and legacy. Located in the historic Jackson Ward neighborhood, the museum houses a permanent collection of more than 5,000 objects, photographs and manuscripts that trace the African American struggle for freedom and equality, from Colonial times to the present.
