The house features a stucco-clad exterior, a five-bay front facade, a side-gable roof with stepped parapets, nine-over-six, six-over-six, and two-over-two double-hung windows with shutters, a recessed front entrance door with sidelights, a transom, and a decorative trim surround, and a two-story shed-roof wood-frame rear ell. The house is a contributing structure in the Abingdon Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, and was listed individually on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
