Historic Staunton Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established in 1971 in Staunton, Virginia. Savannah Sparrow in Virginia Although these sparrows are found throughout North America, I seldom see them in the Shenandoah Valley. Although the background elements in the image are a bit distracting, they suggest the edges of farm fields which are one of the places the birds can be found.
