Arlington House is a historic mansion located in Fort Myer, Virginia, overlooking the Potomac River and the National Mall in Washington, D.C. It was built between 1802 and 1818 as a plantation house for George Washington Parke Custis, the adopted grandson of George Washington. The house was originally known as the Custis-Lee Mansion and was later renamed Arlington House.

The mansion is a two-story Greek Revival-style building constructed of brick and painted white. It has a central portico with six Ionic columns and a pediment supported by four columns. The interior features high ceilings, large windows, and elegant furnishings.

During the Civil War, the house served as the headquarters for the Union Army and served as a military cemetery until it became the national cemetery for soldiers in 1864. Today, Arlington House is part of the National Park Service and is a popular tourist attraction. Visitors can take guided tours of the mansion and its grounds, which include beautiful gardens and memorials to fallen soldiers. The mansion also offers stunning views of the National Mall and the Washington Monument.
