AGECROFT ASSOCIATION

Agecroft Association is a non-profit organization located in Richmond, Virginia. The association is named after Agecroft Hall, an English Tudor manor house that was built in the late 16th century in Lancashire, England. The manor house was dismantled in the early 20th century and was shipped to the United States. It was reconstructed in Richmond and is now a museum.

The Agecroft Association was founded in 1965 with the aim of preserving and promoting the history and culture of England. The association organizes various events and programs throughout the year, including lectures, concerts, and special events. The organization also offers educational opportunities for students and teachers.

Agecroft Association is managed by a board of directors and is supported by volunteers and donors. In addition to its cultural and educational programs, Agecroft Association also manages the Agecroft Cemetery, which is located adjacent to the Agecroft Hall museum. The cemetery is the final resting place of many prominent Richmond residents, including several Confederate generals.
