The James Monroe Museum & Memorial Library is a historic museum located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The museum is dedicated to the life and legacy of James Monroe, the fifth President of the United States. The museum is housed in the building where Monroe lived with his family from 1786 to 1789. The building is a two-story brick structure with a white wooden porch that was added in the 1830s.

The museum features a collection of over 3,000 artifacts relating to Monroe's life, including furniture, documents, and personal items. Visitors can see original letters written by Monroe, as well as portraits and other artwork depicting him and his family. The museum also includes a research library with books and other materials related to Monroe and his era.

In addition to the museum exhibits, the James Monroe Museum & Memorial Library hosts special events and educational programs throughout the year. These include lectures, concerts, and hands-on activities for children. The museum is open to the public six days a week, and admission is free for members and children under 6. It is a popular destination for history buffs, students, and families visiting Fredericksburg.
