The Reston Historic Trust (RHT) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the historic and cultural heritage of Reston, Virginia. Located in the heart of Reston, RHT activities are focused on preserving the history and culture of Reston and its surrounding areas. The Trust is an advocate for the preservation of the community’s historic resources and works to ensure their protection and perpetuation.

RHT works to preserve the history, culture and environment of Reston through a variety of activities and initiatives. These include educational programs, lectures and workshops, historic preservation projects, and community events. The Trust has been actively involved in the preservation of several historic buildings in the area, including the Reston Community Center, Reston Town Center, and Reston Historic Park.

The Reston Historic Trust is also responsible for the maintenance of the Reston Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This district includes a variety of buildings, monuments and sites, many of which are open to the public. The Trust also works to promote historic tourism in the area by offering guided tours and educational programming.

In addition to its preservation and educational efforts, the Reston Historic Trust is actively involved in community outreach and engagement. The Trust sponsors and participates in a variety of community events and activities throughout the year, including art and music festivals, flea markets, and other special events. Through its work, RHT seeks to foster a sense of community and strengthen the historic character of Reston.
