St. Albans Bay under the total solar eclipse of April 8, 2024 No photo can provide the same experience as what was perceived a the time by the human brain. This one is not too good a match with what I remember. However it still shows that the horizon is illuminated like a sunset, except it is yellow all around (as there is no sun setting at any point in the horizon).

I had to adjust the color temperature of this photo to approximately match the colors that I remember sensing at the time.

homemade cheese Ricky made a hand-washed Trappist-style cheese. It was funky and delicious.

Eclipse 2024 We were in Swanton -- which was just about dead center of the path of totality. That said: there just wasn't a chance that my phone's camera was going to do it justice.

last hurrah of the 2023-2024 ski season Which is to say… we got to the mountain twice. Which is better than not at all but a far cry from last year. Oh well!
