The North Collin County Genealogy Society (NCCGS) was founded in August of 1995 with the mission of providing genealogical research and education for the North Collin County area. The Society is based in McKinney, Texas and serves the entire community.
The NCCGS meets monthly to discuss genealogy and related topics, share resources, and provide support for members. The Society also has a library with a collection of books, magazines, and other materials which are available for loan.
The NCCGS offers a variety of programs, including lectures, seminars, workshops, and classes. These are designed to educate and assist members in their genealogical research. The Society also offers its members access to online databases, such as Ancestry.com, and other online resources.
The NCCGS works to promote genealogy and local history through various activities, such as the annual Collin County Genealogy Fair. This event provides an opportunity for members to share research, network with each other, and participate in a variety of genealogy-related activities.
The NCCGS is an active and vibrant organization which is dedicated to preserving and sharing the local history of the North Collin County area. The Society’s members are passionate about their research, and they are always willing to help those who are just starting out.
