1078 Gallery is a non-profit contemporary art space located in Chico, California. The gallery was established in 2002 and is dedicated to providing a platform for emerging and established artists to present their work in an inclusive and accessible environment.
The mission of 1078 Gallery is to enrich, empower and inspire the local community through the exploration of contemporary art. The gallery offers a variety of exhibitions and programs throughout the year, including artist talks, film screenings, and workshops.
The gallery’s main exhibition space is located in a downtown storefront and features a rotating selection of thought-provoking artworks. 1078 Gallery also hosts a variety of special events, workshops and lectures, including the popular “Art and Conversation” series. All events are free and open to the public.
The 1078 Gallery also supports local and visiting artists with a variety of services, including exhibition and curatorial opportunities, publicity, access to equipment and resources, and the chance to connect with other artists.
