The Johnville Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Blairsden, California. Founded in 1991, the Society’s mission is to promote and preserve the rich mining, railroad and timber history of the Plumas County region.

The Society’s collection includes artifacts, photographs, documents, and other memorabilia that tell the history of the area and the people who lived and worked there. The collection is housed in the restored Johnville Depot, which was originally built by the Western Pacific Railroad in 1911. The building features two exhibits that tell the story of the town’s development, from its beginnings as a mining camp to its current role as a popular tourist destination.
