The Greater Houston Aquarium Club (GHAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and support of the aquarium hobby in Houston and the surrounding areas. Founded in 1985, GHAC is one of the oldest and most active aquarium clubs in the Houston area, with a membership of over 500 people.
GHAC offers a variety of activities and services to its members, including monthly meetings, workshops, auctions, and fish shows. At meetings, members can learn from speakers who are experts in the aquarium industry, share their experiences, and get advice from other enthusiasts. Workshops give members the opportunity to learn more about aquarium keeping, fish care and maintenance, and aquarium design. GHAC also hosts auctions, where members can buy and sell fish and other aquarium-related items.
In addition to these activities, GHAC also sponsors fish shows throughout the year. These shows allow members to show off their fish and compete against other members in categories such as Best of Show and Best in Category. At the shows, members can also purchase fish and plants from vendors.
The Greater Houston Aquarium Club is committed to helping its members share their passion for the aquarium hobby and to providing the best information and support to those who are new to the hobby. With its wide range of activities and services, GHAC is a great place for aquarium hobbyists to get involved and to learn more about their hobby.
