Old Alton Bridge (Denton County, Texas) Historic Old Alton Bridge over Hickory Creek between Denton and Cooper Canyon, Texas. Also known as Goatman's Bridge and Copper Canyon Road Bridge. The iron Pratt through truss was built by the King Iron Bridge and Manufacturing Company in 1884. The Old Alton Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 (NRHP No. 88000979). It was designated as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 2010. The bridge has been bypassed by a new bridge and now is part of multi-use trail.
