HEART OF WEST TEXAS MUSEUM

COLORADO CITY, TX

Abandoned Boyce Texas Farmhouse Around 1900, my maternal grandmother's family, the Boyces, lived in Mitchell County, Texas, just north of the town of Westbrook.

As a Texan, I'm proud to be a Boyce descendant. They settled in The Republic of Texas in 1837. Just one year after the Alamo! Because of them, I have deep Texas roots.

In July 2022, in 110° F heat, I visited the site.

This is what I found.
