The George Ranch Historical Park is a popular tourist attraction located in Richmond, Texas. It is a 480-acre living history museum that showcases the history and culture of Texas from the 1820s to the present day. The park is home to four different historical homes, including the 1830s Jones Stock Farm, the 1860s Ryon Prairie Home, the 1890s Davis Victorian Mansion, and the 1930s George Ranch Home. Emerald Isle Perched pond in the middle of a neighborhood keeps the alligators out, and the moat keeps the cats out, making this a nice place for birds of various sorts. Pretty similar to a previous B&W post. Maybe I’ll be rested enough to be a little more creative next week. Maybe. Happy Tree Tuesday!

Webs of Silk and Light The Buddhist doctrine of non-duality never made much sense to me, growing up. Recently I read Thich Nhat Hanh, who used the same logic I had applied to explain the Unitarian Universalist 7th Principle, “Respect for the interconnected web of all existence, of which we are a part”. Better late than never. Where did the UUs get that principle, anyway? Likely they were not so late to the party as I was. Identification of additional webs is left as an exercise for the viewer.
