The Watauga Historical Association (WHA) is a non-profit organization based in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Founded in 1976, the WHA is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the Watauga Valley region and its people. The WHA operates the Charles B. Hoskins Library and Museum, which houses over 6,000 books, manuscripts, photographs, maps, and other artifacts related to the history of the Watauga Valley. The WHA also maintains the Carter County Historical Preservation Network, which coordinates the preservation of historic structures, sites, and artifacts in the area.
The WHA hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including lectures, workshops, and tours. The WHA also maintains a website and publishes a quarterly newsletter, which provides information about upcoming events and activities.
