The Bellevue Harpeth Historic Association (BHHA) is a non-profit organization in Nashville, TN dedicated to preserving the history of the Bellevue Harpeth area and educating the public about the area’s historical significance. Established in 1992, BHHA is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the history and heritage of the Bellevue Harpeth area.
The BHHA is responsible for various preservation projects, including the restoration of the historic Bellevue Mansion and the preservation of the Bellevue Harpeth Cemetery. The BHHA also conducts walking tours of the Bellevue Harpeth area and offers educational programs for schools and other organizations. The association also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including lectures, book signings, and musical performances.
The BHHA also works to promote the area’s history and culture by publishing a quarterly newsletter, operating a museum and gift shop, and maintaining a library. The BHHA also sponsors a variety of field trips and workshops. Additionally, the BHHA works with local government and other organizations to promote the preservation of the Bellevue Harpeth area.
The BHHA operates as a volunteer organization and is supported by memberships and donations. The association is governed by a Board of Directors and is a member of the Tennessee Historical Commission and the Tennessee Preservation Trust.
