Old James County Courthouse (Ooltewah, Tennessee) Historic 1913 courthouse for the now defunct James County in Ooltewah, Tennessee. Following the Civil War during Reconstruction, James County was created in 1871 from parts of Bradley County and Hamilton County with Ooltewah as the county seat. James County went bankrupt in 1919 and the county was absorbed by Hamilton County. The Colonial Revival building was the third courthouse for James County. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 (NRHP No. 76001782).
