Athenaeum Rectory is a historic building located in Columbia, Tennessee. Built in 1837, the rectory served as the residence of the president of the Athenaeum, a prestigious college that was founded in 1852. The rectory is a two-story Greek Revival style building that features a symmetrical façade with a central entrance flanked by four columns. The building is constructed of brick and features a hipped roof with a central cupola.

The interior of the rectory features high ceilings, original woodwork, and spacious rooms. The first floor includes a large foyer, a formal parlor, a library, and a dining room. The second floor features four bedrooms and a large central hall. The rectory also features a full basement and a two-story rear wing that was added in the 1880s.

Today, Athenaeum Rectory is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is owned by the City of Columbia. The building has been restored and is used as a venue for weddings, events, and community gatherings. Athenaeum Rectory is a significant example of Greek Revival architecture in Tennessee and is an important part of the state's educational and cultural history.

Lucius Frierson House (Columbia, Tennessee) Historic 1876 Lucius Frierson House in Columbia, Tennessee. Lucius Frierson was the co-founder of the Columbia Ice Company and the Bethel House Hotel. He also owned the Electric Light and Water Company of Maury County and co-owned the-First National Bank of Columbia. The Italianate and French Second Empire style house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 (NRHP No. 78002610).

Now that parking spaces are hard to come by, they have moved it just outside of town along highway TN46. As this might remind someone of the Andy Griffith Show, the front license plate of "Protected by Fife."
