Belle Meade Plantation is a historic estate located in Nashville, Tennessee. It was built in 1807 by John and Rachel Harding, who wanted to create a home for their family and to showcase the Thoroughbred horses that they bred. The plantation is a sprawling 5,400-acre estate with a mansion, outbuildings, and grounds. The mansion, built in the Greek Revival style, is two stories tall and is constructed of brick and stucco. It has a two-story portico and is surrounded by a large veranda. Inside, the mansion is decorated with antiques and original artwork.

The outbuildings at Belle Meade Plantation include a log-cabin slave quarters, a carriage house, stables, and a blacksmith's shop. The grounds feature several gardens with a variety of plants and flowers, a pond, a hiking trail, and a nature center.

Belle Meade Plantation is now a museum and a popular tourist attraction. It offers guided tours of the mansion and outbuildings, as well as educational programs about the plantation's history, the Harding family, and the legacy of Thoroughbred racing. The plantation is open to the public and hosts events such as weddings and corporate retreats.
