The Avengers was the highest grossing movie of 2012 earning more than a billion dollars worldwide, is the live action adaptation of Marvel Comic's SHIELD. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division), an international peace keeping agency. The agency is a who's who of Marvel Super Heroes, including Iron Man, The Hulk Thor and Captain America. When global security is threatened by Loki and his cohorts, Nick Fury, the director of SHIELD and his team will need all their powers to save the world from disaster.

At SHIELD's Top Secret facility, The Tesseract, a crystalline cube-shaped containment vessel for the Space Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones that predate the universe and possess unlimited energy, has activated. 

It opens a portal through space and the exiled Norse god Loki steps through, Loki takes the Tesseract and also controls the minds of several SHIELD personnel to aid him in his getaway in this stolen Hummer.

The Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center in Townsend, Tennessee is a museum that celebrates the region’s unique cultural history. The center provides immersive and educational exhibits that cover the area’s early pioneer and Native American history, as well as its more recent Appalachian cultural heritage.

The museum’s main exhibit is a recreated pioneer mountain settlement, including a log cabin, a blacksmith shop, a corn crib, a weaver’s hut, a smokehouse, and a cider mill. There is also a replica of an 1800s mountain church, which houses a museum of artifacts from the area’s churches, including an original Bible from 1800.

The center’s Native American exhibit showcases the Cherokee, Creek, and other regional tribes. Visitors can see artifacts, such as Native American pottery, tools, and clothing, as well as a diorama of a Cherokee village.

In addition to the museum exhibits, the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center also offers educational programs and events throughout the year, such as a monthly Heritage Concert Series and an annual Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Festival. The center also houses a gift shop and a café, which is open on weekdays.
