Oaklands Historic Site is a beautiful and historic plantation home located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The home was built in the 1800s and is a wonderful example of antebellum architecture, with stunning Greek Revival style columns and a grand entrance hall.

The plantation was originally built by Dr. James Maney and his wife, Sally, who were both prominent members of Murfreesboro society. The home was later sold to the Todd family, who were related to Mary Todd Lincoln, and they made several changes and additions to the property.

Today, Oaklands Historic Site is a popular tourist attraction and is open to the public for tours. Visitors can explore the beautiful gardens and grounds, as well as the interior of the home, which has been lovingly restored to its original glory.

The site also includes several outbuildings, including a smokehouse and a carriage house, as well as a museum and gift shop. There are also several events and programs throughout the year, including a popular Christmas candlelight tour.
