The Hermitage is a historical landmark located in Hermitage, Tennessee. It is the home of the seventh President of the United States, Andrew Jackson. The Hermitage is currently a museum and is open to the public for tours and educational programs.

The Hermitage was built between 1819 and 1821. It was designed by renowned architect, William Strickland. The main house, which is a two-story brick structure, was modeled after a plantation home in Virginia. The Hermitage also includes a two-story log kitchen, two-story brick storehouse, and two-story brick slave quarters.

The main house has two parlors and eight bedrooms, each of which were designed with a different color scheme. The house is decorated with period furniture and many of President Jackson's personal items.

The Hermitage also includes a number of grounds, gardens and outbuildings. The grounds include a cemetery where President Jackson and his wife are buried, a tomb, a slave memorial, and the original Hermitage log cabin. The gardens feature a variety of plants, including roses, magnolias, and dogwoods. The outbuildings include a kitchen, smokehouse, carriage house, and a blacksmith shop.

The Hermitage is a popular tourist destination and has been designated as a National Historic Landmark. It is owned and operated by the Andrew Jackson Foundation and offers tours and educational programs for visitors.
