The Tipton-Haynes House is a historic home located in Johnson City, Tennessee. The house was built in 1784 by Colonel John Tipton, one of the first settlers of the area. It is believed to be the oldest surviving log structure in the state. It was built in a traditional colonial style with two stories and four rooms. The structure is made of hand-hewn logs and features a central chimney.
The home is now a state historic site and museum. Visitors can tour the home and explore its many features. Inside, the house contains original period furniture and artifacts. The home also features a kitchen, a smokehouse, and a barn. The grounds of the house include a garden and a cemetery.
