The Newell Museum in Newell, South Dakota opened in 1966 and is currently located in the historic Newell City Hall. This museum is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the history of the town, particularly its early Scandinavian settlers. The museum’s collections feature artifacts from the area’s early pioneers, as well as from the late 1800s and early 1900s.

The Newell Museum offers a variety of exhibits, including the history of the town, early homesteads, the Newell United Methodist Church, and the railroad industry.
