The United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) is a national organization of women in Anderson, South Carolina that was founded in 1894. It was established to honor the memory of the soldiers, sailors, and citizens of the Confederate States of America and to perpetuate the principles of the Confederate government. The group’s primary mission is to maintain the memory of Confederate soldiers and to promote the knowledge of the history of the Confederacy.
