The Friends of the Aiken Railroad Depot (FARD) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the Historic Aiken Railroad Depot in Aiken, South Carolina. The organization was established in 2007 and consists of a board of trustees and volunteers who work together to raise funds and coordinate projects to restore and preserve the depot.

The Historic Aiken Railroad Depot was built in 1874 and is one of the oldest surviving depots of its type in the United States. The depot served as a major stop on the Charleston-to-Hamburg line and was the hub of activity for many years. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and is now part of the Aiken Historic District.

FARD works with the South Carolina Department of Archives and History, the City of Aiken, and other organizations to raise funds for the restoration and preservation of the Aiken Railroad Depot. FARD also organizes public events such as the Depot Days Festival and the Aiken Model Train Show, as well as educational programs for schools and other groups.

FARD is an important part of the community, preserving the Aiken Railroad Depot as a symbol of the city’s heritage and providing educational opportunities to the local community. The organization’s work has been recognized by the South Carolina Historical Society and the City of Aiken.
