The Shelton and Lucille Buchanan Family Foundation in San Diego, California is a private family foundation that was established in 2000. The foundation is committed to its mission of “supporting charities that are making a positive difference in San Diego and beyond”.

In 2019 alone, the Foundation provided more than $2 million in grants to over 35 organizations, including the San Diego Zoo, United Way, San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory, San Diego Food Bank, San Diego Regional Center, San Diego Human Rights Commission, and many more.
The Foundation is governed by a board of directors that includes Shelton and Lucille Buchanan, their daughter, and a number of outside trustees. The Foundation also works with a professional staff of grantmakers, program officers, and administrative staff.
