Sumter Gallery of Art is a non-profit art museum located in Sumter, South Carolina. It was established in 1969 and has since been dedicated to the promotion and education of the visual arts in Sumter and the surrounding areas. The gallery is housed in a historic building that was once a Carnegie Library.

The irises were mostly not blooming when we were there, but enough of them were doing so. Note that this flower has no beard -- small spikes, in large groups, sticking up. Some irises do have beards.

Australian black swans A pair of Australian black swans, swimming on Swan Lake, which is in Swan Lake Iris Gardens, in the city of Sumter, South Carolina. There are supposed to be eight different species of swans there. We saw most or all of them.
