The Aiken-Rhett House is a historic mansion located in Charleston, South Carolina. The house was built in 1820 by Governor William Aiken and was later expanded in 1833 by his son, Rhett Aiken. The house is a fine example of antebellum architecture and offers visitors a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of affluent Charlestonians in the 19th century.

The Aiken-Rhett House is situated on a two-acre lot and features a grand entrance with a sweeping staircase leading to the second floor. The interior of the house is adorned with ornate plasterwork, elaborate chandeliers, and period furnishings. Visitors can explore the various rooms in the house, including the formal ballroom, drawing room, dining room, and bedrooms.

In addition to the main house, the property also includes a carriage house, kitchen house, and slave quarters, providing insight into the lives of the enslaved people who lived and worked on the property. The Aiken-Rhett House is recognized as one of the best-preserved antebellum townhouses in the country and is a popular tourist attraction in Charleston.
