Mills Historical Property is an impressive mansion located in Newport, Rhode Island. The property was originally built in 1754 by a wealthy merchant named Abraham Touro, and was later purchased by John Mills in 1834. The mansion is a classic example of Federalist architecture, and has been well preserved over the years.

The mansion’s interior features intricate plasterwork, beautifully crafted fireplaces, and stunning woodwork details. The property also boasts a large formal garden, which has been meticulously maintained over the years.

In addition to its architectural and historical significance, Mills Historical Property also played an important role in the American Revolution. During the war, the property was used as a barracks for British soldiers, and was later occupied by American troops.

Today, the Mills Historical Property is owned by the Newport Restoration Foundation, and is open to the public for tours. The mansion and its surrounding gardens provide visitors with a glimpse into the rich history of Newport and the people who lived there.
