The American Rose Society (ARS) is a non-profit organization based in Reading, Pennsylvania, that is dedicated to promoting and educating the public about the cultivation, appreciation, and enjoyment of roses. Founded in 1892, the ARS has been at the forefront of the rose industry for over a century.

The organization is comprised of over 12,000 members from all over the United States and around the world. Its mission is to encourage the amateur cultivation and exhibition of roses, to promote the rose as America's national flower, and to provide education and resources for the public on how to grow and care for roses.

The ARS has a comprehensive website that offers information on a variety of topics related to roses, including how to grow and care for them, how to identify different rose varieties, and how to participate in rose shows and competitions.

The organization also publishes a quarterly magazine, American Rose, which provides in-depth articles on all aspects of rose cultivation, including new varieties, disease and pest control, and pruning techniques.

In addition, the ARS sponsors an annual national rose show and convention, as well as regional and local events throughout the year. These events offer opportunities for members to showcase their roses, learn from experts in the field, and connect with other rose enthusiasts.
