The Westfield Area Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Westfield, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area. The society was founded in 1976 and is housed in the historic Patterson Mansion, which was built in 1875.

The society's collection includes artifacts, photographs, and documents related to local history, including the lives of early settlers, the lumber industry, and the impact of the railroad on the area. The museum is open to the public and offers guided tours, educational programs, and special events throughout the year.

In addition to maintaining the museum, the society also works to preserve other historic sites in the area, such as the Westfield Cemetery and the Westfield Academy and Central School. The society is run by a board of directors and relies on the support of volunteers and members to fulfill its mission of preserving and sharing the rich history of the Westfield area.
