SANDY CREEK CONSERVANCY

The Sandy Creek Conservancy (SCC) is a non-profit organization located in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania. It was established in 2004 to conserve, protect, and restore the natural and historic resources of the Sandy Creek watershed. The Conservancy works to protect the water quality and quantity of the Sandy Creek and its tributaries, promote responsible land stewardship, and preserve and enhance the scenic beauty of the area.

The Conservancy has a variety of programs and activities to accomplish these goals. Through its land protection program, the SCC has preserved over 1,000 acres of land in the watershed. These lands are managed for wildlife habitat, water quality protection, and public recreation. The Conservancy also works with landowners to develop and implement conservation plans for their properties.

The SCC also works to improve recreational opportunities in the watershed, such as kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. The Conservancy also offers educational programs, such as field trips, lectures, and workshops, to teach the public about the importance of conservation in the Sandy Creek watershed.

The Sandy Creek Conservancy is supported by memberships, donations, grants, and volunteers. It works in partnership with local, state, and federal agencies and organizations to protect and enhance the resources of the Sandy Creek watershed.
