Vail Ranch Restoration Association is a non-profit organization located in Temecula, California. The association was established in 2006 with the aim of preserving the rich history and cultural heritage of the Vail Ranch, which was once a prominent cattle ranch and citrus orchard in the region. The ranch was acquired by the Vail family in the early 1900s and grew to become one of the largest citrus and avocado orchards in the country.

The Vail Ranch Restoration Association manages and maintains the historic Vail Ranch headquarters, which was built in the 1930s and served as the administrative center of the ranch. The association restored the headquarters to its original condition and transformed it into a museum that showcases the history and heritage of the Vail Ranch and the Temecula Valley.

Perris / Perris Theater (# 0018) Opened in 1946, designed in an art-deco style but apparently modified at various times. It’s now owned by the city for its historical value to downtown, but closed due to structural problems. Pictures in the below links show the theater as once having a marquee around the base of the tall sign. Unfortunately, couldn’t find any detail about the toy train museum – so will have to visit... The day I visited the museum there was almost no one there, which made it easier to explore the grounds but I didn’t get into any of the car barns. Retired in 1959 and wound up at this museum in 1997.
