The Philippine-American Association for Community Enhancement in San Diego, California (PAACE-SD) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing social, educational and cultural activities for the Filipino-American community in San Diego. The organization was founded in 1984 by a group of Filipino-Americans in the San Diego area.
PAACE-SD’s mission is to “promote unity, foster understanding and cultural exchange, and support the educational, social, and economic advancement of Filipino-Americans in San Diego.” The organization is committed to working with local businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to create programs and services that benefit the Filipino-American community.
PAACE-SD provides a variety of programs and services, such as scholarships, job fairs, leadership-building seminars, and educational workshops. The organization also sponsors cultural events such as fiestas, festivals, and holiday celebrations. It also serves as a resource to the local Filipino-American community by providing information on health and wellness, immigration, and other relevant topics.
PAACE-SD is funded through grants, donations, and membership fees. It is governed by a board of directors and is managed by a paid executive director. The organization is committed to empowering the Filipino-American community and improving the quality of life in San Diego.
