Views from the Drive to Frederick, Maryland - February 15th, 2024 Stayed in Frederick the night before our cruise.  Here are pictures from the drive along the Ohio and Pennsylvania Turnpikes.  Of note are “A Wonderful Day in the Neighborhood,” at Oakmont Plum Service Plaza and the history.  It was part of Art Sparks.  Also a visit to the Midway South Plaza where they had a great exhibit on the history of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.  Heading to Baltimore to take the Royal Caribbean Vision of the Seas for an eight night cruise from Baltimore, Maryland to the Southeastern United States and the Bahamas (February 16th, 2024 to February 24th, 2024).    The cruise embarks from Baltimore, Maryland with stops in Charleston, South Carolina; Port Canaveral, Florida; Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas, and Nassau, Bahamas, before returning back to Baltimore.

The Bloody Run Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Everett, Pennsylvania, dedicated to preserving and promoting the local history of the area. The society was founded in 1966 by a group of local residents who were interested in preserving the rich history of the town. The name "Bloody Run" is derived from a battle that took place in the area during the French and Indian War.
