The Catawissa Railroad Co. of Catawissa, Pennsylvania, has a long and rich history that dates back to the 19th century. It was founded in 1832 by the Catawissa and Williamsport Railroad Company and began operation in 1836, when it ran between Catawissa and Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The Catawissa Railroad Co. is noteworthy for its role in the American Civil War. It was the first railroad in Pennsylvania to be used by the Union Army. During the war, it was the site of several battles and skirmishes, including the Battle of Catawissa in 1863.
