LEACH BOTANICAL GARDEN

Leach Botanical Garden is a 16-acre botanical garden located in Southeast Portland, Oregon. It is divided into five distinct areas: the Heritage Garden, the Sensory Garden, the Woodland Garden, the Water Garden, and the Edible Garden. The Heritage Garden is a quiet and peaceful area that features a variety of native and exotic plants, including magnolias, rhododendrons, and camellias. The Sensory Garden is filled with fragrant and colorful flowers and plants that stimulate the senses. The Woodland Garden is full of trees and shrubs that are native to the Pacific Northwest, as well as ferns, mosses, and lichens. The Water Garden is a small pond with a variety of water plants, as well as a waterfall, and a small stream. Finally, the Edible Garden features edible plants and is used to teach visitors about growing and harvesting their own food.

Leach Botanical Garden also offers a variety of educational and recreational activities, including classes, workshops, and guided tours. It is a great place to relax and explore the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. The garden is open to the public year-round and admission is free.
